Structured Literacy and MLSS: Best Practice Routines and Resources

In this session, I will give an overview of what is structured literacy, using it in a general education classroom setting, and aligning structured literary routines to MLSS (SAT) goals and learning objectives. Educators will leave the session with links and resources to get them started in the classroom. This session will be a practical jumping board for teachers that are just beginning to learn about structured literacy, and trying to wrap their brains around how it looks in a classroom setting when focusing on MLSS (SAT) goals.

Making #DigCit Real for Elementary Students Using Schoology Courses and Groups

We like to call our students "Digital Natives" but they are really "Tech Comfy", not "Tech Savvy". In this session I'll quickly share with you a digital citizenship course created for students that when completed gave them access to a class "Chat Room" utilizing Schoology Groups. Then you will have work time to create your own course and group using tips and tricks from my experience. This works best with 4th and 5th grade students.
