While old-school Jeopardy might seem fun at first glance, there is a sharp drop off in student engagement once players figure out that they’ve been mathematically eliminated from winning the game. And for all its shimmer and shine, new-school tech like Kahoot does little to correct this shortcoming -- as students simply buzz in as fast as they can with little regard for the right answer simply because they only care about getting the highest number of points. What’s worse: teachers often devote hours to dreaming up all of those review questions! This session explores three super low prep, low tech alternatives to the two biggest review game staples of yesteryear.
