Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

The ability to speak, read and write is now an essential part of math class. With a focus on effective strategies for middle school students, come explore, discuss, practice and reflect upon high-leverage ideas that are highly engaging and easy-to-implement, including empowering students to:
  • Talk about math in a way that is meaningful and relevant to their lives.
  • Write about math to argue, communicate and justify their thinking.
  • Persevere in attempting, evaluating and solving “word problems.”

Please Note: This breakout session will be facilitated on Zoom (rather than Google Meet). If you have not ever used Zoom before, you may be required to download the Zoom client. Please consider joining this test meeting ahead of the session to get any necessary downloads and familiarize yourself with Zoom ahead of time. 😊
