The path to educational equity comes right through your classroom, ready or not. This path is full of bumps and challenging twists and turns without any road signs or clear-cut directions. But every time that we might fall, we must fall up. Trial and error not only make us human, but it makes us better educators. Learning and growing is required, even when it takes us out of our comfort zones. Equity isn’t just the latest buzz word. It is long-term commitment that we must make to our practice, because when we “fall up,” we take our students and communities up with us.
